Inspect Your Lineman Gloves Daily
September 25, 2020“A People’s Leader”
March 7, 2021I hope you all enjoyed the weekend! With the warm weather around the corner it is important that we adjust our fluid intake before and during hot work days in efforts to stay hydrated.
Try to avoid the caffeinated drinks which tend to make you urinate more often and drink plenty of water. Keeping the body hydrated helps the heart pump blood through the blood vessels and helps the muscles work efficiently. Our safety message for the week is to “Prevent Dehydration-Drink Plenty of Water”.
Keeping the body hydrated helps the heart more easily pump blood through the blood vessels to the muscles. And, it helps the muscles work efficiently.
Water regulates your body temperature and lubricates your joints. It also helps transport nutrients to give you energy and keep you healthy. If you’re not properly hydrated, your body can’t perform at its highest level. You may experience fatigue, muscle cramps, dizziness, or more serious symptoms that could lead to life-threatening illnesses such as heat stroke.
COVID-19 UPDATE
Please continue to use all the precautionary measures in place to limit the spread of germs and work safely during this pandemic. As you are all getting gloves and mask please use them and notify me ahead of time as you begin to run out. We will continue to order PPE specifically for COVID-19 and work with you on preventing any situations where you are not prepared. Many of you will be back in New Jersey this week, travel safe and let us know if you need anything. Remember, you are all under the watchful eye of nosy neighbors and PHI Supervision as many people are working from home. Make sure you have masks ready at all times, practice social distancing and continue to use your handwashing stations on your trucks.
